Kids & Youth

Kids ministry

Children are precious to God and we are committed to keeping them safe, helping them grow in their love for God and their understanding of his offer of salvation in Jesus.

What is our vision for nurturing the faith of children at The Common?

We understand parents are their children’s main “disciplers”. They will guide the children in their faith in Christ, as the rest of the church family support them.

The Missional Communities provide additional time for our “Common Kids’” faith to develop in a multi-generational community. They also allow for members to know of prayer needs and make space for kids to see how other adults follow Jesus with their lives.

We run a dedicated Kids Church time at our services during school term in which we share God’s word with children in a relational way. We prayerfully aim to support them to know Jesus and his love, and grow in love for him (UP), flourish as members of the body of Christ (IN) and be people who take the hope of Jesus (OUT) into the world.

Youth “Farmers”

Farmers is church youth group with a difference.

The Common wants to see young people know how the gospel impacts their lives, teach them how to share the gospel and empower them to sow Gospel seeds, see Mark 4:3-8.

In short the Farmers community are learning how to become disciples and make disciples of Jesus.

We have the unique opportunity to be on mission in Willagee and serve alongside a team as we facilitate elements of a contextualised service on a monthly basis designed for people who may not normally attend a “Sunday Church Service”.

We meet on Friday nights in Willagee during school term, see our calendar for details. Come along and check us out!
